After revealing the name and first images of her new athleisure venture last month, Beyoncé has now fully unveiled her Ivy Park collection.
A partnership between the singer and British retail tycoon Phillip Green, the collection is not just another celebrity collaboration, but rather a standalone range with a strong message behind it.
After giving us a sneak peek at what to expect in her promotional video last month, these new images reveal a collection that is simple, sleek, and modern, but also with a hint of American college track and field wear.
Expect lots of figure-hugging lycra leggings and crop tops, which have been specially cut to enhance every body shape, as well as slouchy tees, relaxed sweat pants and hoodies, and even a few leotards.
The color palette is simple, mainly black, white, and grey, but with some highlights of bright cobalt blue and washed out pastels, with many pieces finished off with bold Ivy Park branding to show off. It makes for a versatile, mix-and-match range, and with 200-plus pieces to choose from and available in sizes XXS to XL, there is something for everybody, a large part of what Ivy Park is all about.
Aiming to appeal to and meet the needs of every woman and every body shape, as well as every price point, Ivy Park is not just a collection about looking good, it’s also about feeling good. The new range wants to promote health, fitness, strength and well-being, and encourage women to make sport an enjoyable and everyday part of their lives which makes them feel great about their bodies from the inside out.
For this reason it’s not just style over substance, this range is built to actually perform, having been made with the latest sweat wicking, non-pilling, high tech fabrics and manufactured at facilities who are the experts in the field of high performance sportswear. Subtle details such as bonded holes allow headphone cables to slip through easily, and reflective prints help ensure safety during dark early morning or evening runs.
However in keeping with the current athleisure trend, it does look good enough for both on and off the track and certainly isn’t restricted to just the gym, with its comfortable yet stylish design it wouldn’t even look out of place at a relaxed weekend brunch.
Dropping into stores April 14, the collection will be available in over 50 countries worldwide, retailing in Topshop stores as well as online, as well as through Nordstrom, Net-a-Porter, and Hudson’s Bay in Canada.
Prices will range from $25 (£14 or 20€) – $265 (£160 or 225€).
